Trying new products

Posted by Barry Proctor on Monday, October 24, 2011,
You may have noticed in the medication section (another section that will be updated as and when we use something throughout the year) we are trying out a new wormer. Its always a worry when you try a new product. Unfortunately this always results in test subjects. this usually falls on the surplus stock. (which is a very good reason to keep some.)
As I mentioned in the medication section, our normal wormer Moxidectin has been brought under new restrictions and is awaiting test results which c...

Ring, ring, ring...

Posted by Barry Proctor on Friday, October 7, 2011,
Our breeding season is now underway with the first chick rung with ring number MIL1-223-11 (bearing in mind that the 2011 breeding season started with 80 chicks being rung on 2010 rings).

The Beginning

Barry Proctor I'm the hidden face lurking behind R & M Miller's Budgerigar world. I am attempting to set up this website to bring you inside that world. I intend to give you an inside view as to what goes on in the aviary, as much as possible from selecting breeding pairs, feeding regimes, medication and cleaning routines. I intend to do this with the full support of Michael and Richard Miller. It may take a while to get this up and running properly. Hopefully the full web site should be in place in time for the Budgerigar Society World Championship Show 2011.
